Meeting audio playback

Keep a meeting's audio and play it back inside the transcript, at normal speed or faster, jumping from any timestamp.

Keep the audio

By default Scribe deletes a meeting’s audio once the transcript exists; the transcript is what you keep. To be able to listen again, turn on Keep recordings’ audio in Settings › Meetings before you record. The same applies to recordings you import with Transcribe a recording: the copy Scribe makes is kept only if the setting is on.

Play

Open a meeting that has audio. A player bar sits above the transcript with:

  • Play / Pause;
  • a scrubber showing the position and the total length;
  • a speed button cycling 1×, 1.5× and 2×.

Tap or click any timestamp in the transcript to jump to that moment. Playback follows the transcript, so you can check what was actually said while you edit a turn.

Remove the audio

Turn off Keep recordings’ audio to stop keeping audio for future meetings; existing recordings are not touched. Delete a meeting to remove its audio with it; it waits 30 days in Recently Deleted, then the space is freed.

Common problems

There is no player. The audio was not kept for this meeting. The setting applies to meetings recorded after you turn it on.
